OwlGrip 1.0 Tourniquet

OwlGrip 1.0 – a tourniquet for stopping severe limb bleeding. Pressure is applied through a 40 mm wide band, so less pressure is needed to occlude the artery than with a narrow band. Precise pressure adjustment. The windlass locks into a C-shaped fixator with teeth and can be operated with tactical gloves. Compact – fits in a first aid kit.
  • —40 mm effective pressure band – it needs less pressure to occlude the artery
  • —Precisely adjustable pressure with the windlass
  • —C-shape fixator with reinforced teeth for secure windlass locking
  • —Non-slip windlass rod, usable with tactical gloves
  • —UHMWPE tightening strap and metal dual buckle
  • —Time-marking area
Purpose

40 mm vs 25 mm: How Pressure Is Applied Matters

A tourniquet isn't only about how much pressure it applies. It's about where that pressure goes and how precisely you can control it.

Conventional windlass tourniquets apply pressure through a narrow internal band, about 25 mm wide. OwlGrip 1.0 applies it through a 40 mm effective pressure band, which is 60% wider. Like a wider blood-pressure cuff, a wider band needs less pressure to occlude the artery.
